The idea for Small Business Can comes from an Ulster Bank initiative started in the Autumn of 2007. We were tasked with building a full social networking platform that would allow small businesses and entrepreneurs to connect on a personal level with peers and collaborators. No easy feat!

We started with a rejuvenation of the overall brand. Incorporating simple character animations to give the site a breezy and approachable feel. Colour and optimism were a must. The site was built with key networking features (a mini Facebook we call it), group management, user activity streams, photo and video sharing and private messaging. Add to the mix integrated discussion boards, blogging tools and put that all on a search engine optimised, robust content management(phew take a breath!) and you get a thriving, unique and interactive community. Feather placed firmly in cap on this one!
