SEO for eCommerce

Google, Bing, Yahoo etc etc. Search is still the primary way that potential customers find, research and shop for purchases, by quite a big margin actually. And even with the rise in recommendations via social networks and social media, search is still used to then find the best price or a reputable retailer, or reinforce the recommendation of any brand online.

So having your products & website rank as highly as possible in search engine results is an extremely good thing, and can make a huge difference to the amount that you take in at the checkout desk. In the case of top supermarkets and stores, ranking just one or two places higher can make a difference of millions to their profits, particularly if they are in the ‘top three’ results for a specific search, as those results get 70% of all of our clicky fingers. Well….. we did make a million but not in the corporate monkey sense! A new version of smallbusinesscan.com is being cooked up in the Jamjo oven right now, this time around we even made a special sauce… but all shall be revealed in good time. In fact we are setting ourselves some lofty targets in terms of stats for the new edition of smallbusinesscan.com so hopefully we will be adding to this blog post in the near future. All of us here are pretty proud of a little website we launched recently that has already been getting some good press. Traction is something every website launch looks for and myhire.ie is certainly getting that. The first of these news articles follows……… so read on for the official bit! :)

Check out the orginal article: New website set to transform hire market
A new website that aims to connect people looking for goods and services and those looking to rent out goods and services has been launched in Ireland. MyHire.ie is a tool whereby people looking to rent items on a short-term basis can browse online catalogues and those with goods that they are not currently using can upload them for rent.

Those with services to offer and those looking for service providers may use the site on the same basis. Managing Director David O’Leary says: “We are very excited with the launch of the website and feel that it targets a niche in the market not currently served. The list of hiring possibilities is endless and as the site includes both products and services so it really is open to all.” Read More…
