Launch Website

The Royal Air Force Yacht Club came to Jamjo Design with a problem, they needed a website for the club members and they needed it quick. The website needed to be powered by a sophisticated yet simple to use Content Management System and it needed to stand out amongst the competition. At the same time the site needed to compliment the nature of this long standing club, incorporate the rich brand of RAFYC and embody the historic spirit within the club.

They already had a website but it lacked flexibility and more importantly was not generating response. RAFYC required a site that would be easily manageable, look professional and significantly increase their club-membership. They decided on a PHP based website with a Content Management System in order to upload current sailing news, multimedia files, events booking system, enhanced SEO, Buy & Sell facility and more.

How Did We Help?

The solution was split the website into two parts. First, an attractive frontend to entice club members to sign up to the club was designed. This made the browsing of articles and stories easy and rewarding and at the same time communicated and enforced the Royal Air Force club message.

Secondly, behind the scenes a powerful content management system was developed to allow the team at RAFYC to manage the vast amount of content the site features in a quick and painless fashion. As well as facilitating the publishing of content; the system allows members to book events directly online, whilst simultaneously providing RAFYC with powerful tools for managing users and their subscriptions.

The one thing about a Web site, it always changes! Jamjo Design makes it easy to add articles, content, images, videos, and more. Site administrators can edit and manage content 'in-context' by clicking the 'Edit' link. Webmasters can also edit content through a graphical Control Panel that gives you complete control over your site.

The teams involvement did not stop there though once launched they have executed a strategy to ensure the site achieves great rankings in search engines and stays there whilst managing the Royal Air Force Yacht Club's ongoing development of their website.

The Great Results!

Since its launch the website has received tremendous praise and feedback from not only the team at RAFYC but also the club members. The team at RAFYC publish several new articles every week to ensure the members are up to date with exclusive content. The team now have a system which makes creating new content for the site a painless task, guaranteeing the members have a definitive source for all sailing news and information.
