A New Year…

A new year and JAMJO are off to a flyng start! We introduce Wild Wood Toys. Our job: to brand, design and implement a full scale e-commerce solution for this Waterford based company.

The fine folks over there supply beautiful, handmade traditional wooden toys made from beechwood, maple, birch or pine. They are all harvested from managed forests to ensure dear old mother nature has a smile on her face! The site itself is built on a scalable Magento platform with cross browser compatibility and works neatly on any mobile device you may have at hand. A sound job from JAMJO we must say!

“Websites are never finished. they’re abandoned”

it came to me whilst in New Jersey this year recording some music at Big Blue Meanie studio…i noticed that the very quest to root out the finest of details and trim and chop and improve could often prove fruitless…and you find you have to tear yourself away before you end up with an over produced amalgamation of your own insecurities…the moral of this ditty? know when to finish….know when the bun is cooked!…..too much aimless tinkering and indulgent meddling will remove whats originally good with your designs…there is such a thing as over thinking it after all

and speaking of finishing websites…your tried and trusty web lords have been busy these last few weeks putting the finishing touches on various work that has come in…some recent and some that have been ongoing…..check out our latest offerings Read More…

No longer virgins – our first website award!

JAMJO Design are pleased to announce that our site Small Business Can has won a gold award for best website or micro-site at the prestigious CIPR Pride awards. Since we launched the site back in march it has steadily grown in popularity and emerged as one of the fastest growing online small business networks in Ireland and the UK today. A tear comes to our eyes when we see our babies grow up!

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Northern Ireland awards were held in the Europa Hotel, Belfast last week.

Some of the SBC team were on hand to pick up the award in front of an audience of more than 200 business people.

The panel of judges were very impressed by the site saying:

“This is a good example of marketing to a customer base through an online channel. Relationship building is nstrated in a clear and easy way using a light-touch with customers, who feel comfortable about owning the forums and discussing issues online. The success of the website can be seen in the number of visitors it attracts and the number of people registering each day. Clearly it appeals to its target audience. The amount of time spent by visitors on the site shows that the content is interesting, and the number of comments posted shows that visitors are engaging with the content.” Read More…

The wee little website we launched back in January of this year has hit the headlines once again……… this time a full feature in the Irish Times. “When Paul Barry set up the website pedigreedogs.ie he had very specific customers in mind: dog lovers who wanted to buy their pets from a reputable breeder”………. the website is simply going from strength to strength and watch out for the few upgrades we are making…. coming in he next few months. Exciting times ahead online at pedigreedogs.ie

Well done to Paul and all the efforts from the full team behind the website.  VISIT WEBSITE….

Over 50,000 visits!

Today we are pleased to announce a milestone….just over 50,000 visits to JAMJO’s websites last month!….roughly 70 clients in all…our bouce rate (essentially the percentage of people that nip off to another site having viewed only 1 page) is a respectable 31%…

Avinash Kaushik, a Google analytics specialist says:

“It is really hard to get a bounce rate under 20%, anything over 35% is cause for concern, 50% (above) is worrying”

most proud are we of these stats and hope to hit that elusive 100,000 visits by years end…a big feat! but with the likes of the very popular Small Business Can we think we can get there!
